Like the Mares Ultra ADJ/82X Regulator, the Mares Ultra Scuba Octopus is designed with a Twin Power System that allows you to adjust the gas delivery between a natural breathing rate (VAD) and power breathing (VAD+) which provides a bit of extra push when needed. The purpose of the VAD (Vortex Assisted Design) is so the diver using the octo has a much easier time breathing. When your dive buddy needs air, you want an octo that provides a breathing experience that’s as effortless as possible. Mares has taken every measure to make sure that’s exactly what you get with the Octopus Ultra.
